Other Factors/questions:I know I need to do better on my SAT but if I get around a 2000 would that be alright? Same with my ACT. If I get a 30 would that be good enough?
Thanks.

Stern kids usually have around 2100 I think. But if you're within that range, applying ED can tip things in your favor man. I have the same weighted GPA as you and I'm applying to Tisch Film, but for Stern that's a little on the low side. Unweighted that would be what? 3.5?

Ok thanks. Thats what I thought about my SAT scores. Yea my UW GPA is around a 3.54 or something around that. I'm not exactly sure. Well I hope you get into Tisch. I toured Stern the other day and that sealed the deal for me applying ED.

SAT is on the low side for Stern. As someone said before Stern kids have about a 2100 score. And your GPA is a little on the low side for Stern. But I would still apply because you never know. I have seen people get into Stern with 1800+

Ok thanks ethan.

those kids that get in with an 1800+ are special in some way. so if you're special, market whatever makes you special and you might be able to get into stern. if you're not special, raise your scores by a lot.

if you're confident in your abilities, you can apply early to CAS, then get around a 3.8 and then internally transfer to stern.

I'm 99% sure that I raised both my SAT and ACT when I retook them. I feel like I'm special, so I'm sure I can market that. I never thought about internally transfering, so that's another option. Thanks.

Unless you're black or hispanic or native american, an 1800 is going to get you nowhere in NYU.

not true. i know an asian student who got into stern scholars last year with sat's in the 1800s.

nyu does not look at only race and sat's.
