<p>you’re definitely competitive. i’m applying too so i’m probably not much help. but one thing about your ACT score… the english/writing subscore doesn’t affect your composite score so your score is a definite 34, which is really good. </p>

<p>if anything your GPA might be your only problem, but it’s still good considering all the APs and ECs you’ve done. good luck.</p>

<p>There is no way to guarantee acceptance, Hopkins admits a wide variety of students. There is no “generally accpeted benchmark.” Admittance to Hopkins is not solely based on the numbers which although they impact an application, are not the sole reason for acceptance/denial. Because of the way that Hopkins reviews applications, they incorporate all factors of the application. The academic numbers are just numbers that sometimes do not accurately portray a students academic potential at the collegiate level. </p>
