applying from in state
What are my chances?

match, if you are elc, then its a safety

What is an elc? And how do you determine if you are one?

honors/AP classes/leadership opps?

Sophmore- AP Computer Science, Chem Honors
Junior: AP Music Theory, AP Chem, Spanish Honors, Pre Calc Honors
Senior: AP Physics, AP Gov, AP Calc BC

elc is eligibility via the local context.

In other words, if youre in a participating california high school, your high school will send in transcripts to the UC office who they deem are the top 12 percent of your high school. Then the UC office calculates the UC admissions GPA of those students, and from there they select the top 4% of your high school class.

If you are in that top 4%, you have guaranteed admissions to all UCs except cal, la, and sd. However, a high percentage of those students do get into SD. (because you get extra points for being elc for ucsd admissions)

you’re looking pretty good then – assuming all your APs are in the 4/5 range.

I am in a pretty competitive high school and do not think I am elc.
And all my ap’s taken so far - apcs, apmt, ap chem, were all 4’s or 5’s.

then stop worrying and go enjoy your summer! :)

when you apply the gpa doesn’t include senior year grades. i hope you keep that in mind.
