chances?

hi - this not for me - trust me

but my friend is planning to go to ucf & wanted to see her chances at being admitted

she has gpa of 3.75 (weighed) & 3.4 (uw) - ranked in top 60 of school - only has two or so extracirr. - taken three ap classes - SAT 1020

does she have a chance?

should be fine from what i've seen. maybe take the SAT again or the ACT.

I agree. Your friend should take the SAT/ACT again.

thanks - i'll tell her about it - that's what i thought as well based from what my other friend told me.

plus now i have another friend who wants to see her chances - she has a 3.9 (W) GPA, 5-6 EC, but SAT of 970.

LITTLE TO NO chance with that second friends SAT score. She will probably get deferred until spring, or until she gets it up to about 1100. My friend's son was deferred last year with a 3.3 and a 1070. He never got in and is now at UNF in Jax. Another friends son got in with a 1080 SAT but had a 4.0 w GPA. UCF does has a special conditional acceptance program called Pegasus but I am not sure if the Pegasus kids have any other special qualifications (ie. first gen. in college, URM, come from underrepresented HS). The pegasus program admits the kids for summer only. It is a special mentoring program and the kids need a certain summer GPA to be allowed to continue in the Fall.
