Chances?

SAT: 1920 (710m, 610r, 600w)
SATII: USHis 720 Math I: 700
ACT:28
GPA: 3.4 UW, i think
Rank: 100ish/450ish (pretty competitive school)

Mostly honors classes, took AP US History this year, got a 5 on the exam
3 AP's next year

EC's are decent, nothing super

Any thoughts?

Oh and i'll probably apply for a program in the Park School, which i gather is the most competitive school.

You have a shot at Park but I would definitely put your second choice major in a different school. I had comparable stats, 3.55 UW and 27 ACT with mostly honor/AP and awesome ECs, and I got denied from Park but accepted into Humanities and Sciences. However, I applied about as late as possible, if you are really serious about getting into Park apply as early as possible.

Yeah I definitely will apply early as i can. Do they have ea/ed?

...and once your in the H&S school, is it difficult to transfer into Park?

...and one more question (sorry). If I put a major in Park as my first choice, could have "exploratory" as my second?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

They don't, but you can submit your application very early and it's rolling so you would know earlier as well.

Yes, it is difficult to transfer into Park from any of the other schools as Park is one of the most competitive, it can be done but you have to have a high GPA and a reasonable amount of credits.

I'm not sure if you can apply to exploratory as your second choice. I think you might be able to, but being exploratory doesn't really benefit you unless you really don't want to declare a major in any other field.

I definitely recommend applying as early as you can, I was never planning on going to Ithaca so I didn't push myself to get the application in early and I definitely regret that, it's much easier to just be in Park than have to worry about transferring in.

Alrighty well thanks very much!
