Chances

<p>White male, resident of Pennsylvania</p>

<p>SAT Reasoning: 1790 (math - 510, critical reading - 680, writing - 600) I didn't really prepare at all, but I am now for the October test. Hoping to get at least a 1900. Possibly 2000</p>

<p>Class rank is 45ish / 268 at an average high school in semi-rural PA.
GPA is 3.7 unweighted, 3.8 weighted. (5.0 is highest weighted, 4.0 highest unweighted)</p>

<p>Quiz Bowl team, won awards in photography, and I took the SAT in 7th grade (got somewhere around a 900 combined math and cr.)</p>

<p>Spanish Club for 3 years</p>

<p>Track for a year - Received Athletic Award</p>

<p>Newspaper Club - writer, etc. Should I include some of my writings? I'll only have about 2 or 3 by the time I apply, but I'm a good writer.</p>

<p>Interact Club - 1 year</p>

<p>National Honor Society - Junior and Senior</p>

<p>Hockey - Captain / Team Organizer for 5+ years, and was also on a few tournament teams. It wasn't school-affiliated, but rather at a deck rink (outside, on foot). I was responsible for making the roster, getting everyone to pay, etc. along with being the team captain. Since about 5th or 6th grade.</p>

<p>Only 2 honors classes, English in 9th, and Spanish 4 in 11th. Took AP US in 11th, got a 4 on the exam.</p>

<p>Probably a few letters of recommendation from teachers.</p>

<p>Obviously I have no chance for some, but should I just apply anyway? </p>
