chances?

<p>Your ACT scores seem a bit low for Pomona. You might want to consider retaking it or giving the SAT a try.
Your extracurriculars seem good. You have a unique combination, which I think Pomona tends to go for.
In my experience, however (I’m a current Pomona freshman) a lot of emphasis goes on the essay and anything else that gives them an idea of who you are. Pomona is so selective that it’s a given that they’ll get more than enough academically qualified students, so they look to who you are. Admissions officers want to know you, they want to imagine you as someone they’d like to see on campus, someone with a personality, a voice, a story. I think that the things you can do to improve you chances are: retake act/sat, kick ass on your essays, and demonstrate interest (eg, interview, etc.). </p>
