^^he wasn’t referring to you…he was referring to the OP

maybe the op dint get a perfect score, probably close to it tho right? but what about my situation? i also have a relatively low gpa ( not nearly as lw as his ) and high sats ( close, but not perfect tho)

I don’t give freshman admission chances

I hand them out like candy, but this is clearly a joke.

I love you Cayuga. You make my LIFE.
Just thought I’d make that clear.

I do what I can.

Many of the EC/awards you are complaining about are positively correlated. If he/she went to RSI, it would be very like you had some intel and siemens experience. Similarly, if he went to RSI, he/she must have shown a passion for his field of research. If it was math, physics, compsci, etc., USAMO and USACO are not that unlikely.

Hey, Atrium, I’m RSI '08 too. PM me.

ok to even do USAMO you had to study math in your spare time as they teach like 5% of the test in school and the rest you have to learn on your own.

is it like 300 people in the country perfect sat? Why did you take the act too? How the hell do you do that without studying?!
No one in the world did this. Never mind this guy. 5 posts there’s too much.

Why Cornell? What major? You need to answer these when you apply.

The tests that you’ve taken (8 SAT II’s + a perfect SAT AND ACT) makes you seem conceited. The low GPA will only add to this point. You need to convince Cornell that your going to be a benefit for their school and not just focus on your own numbers if you get in.

You didn’t get 14 on AIME…(IMO that’s the most prestigious thing on your spurious list)

■■■■■ fail

this is from last year …lol

hey atrium. I’m just a bit confused. you say here that you have a 3.0 unweighted and was a finalist or participant in a lot of impressive programs. But here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/608182-what-my-chances.html#post1061377799 here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/harvard-university/608182-what-my-chances.html and here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/columbia-university/603678-what-my-chances.html you wrote differently.

I don’t mean to accuse you of anything, but can you please explain the disparities in stats?

naiose, ■■■■■.

intel is for high school seniors only, and the semifinalists are announced in Jan. I don’t see how you can be a semi-finalist/finalist in Oct. of senior year… unless you meant you entered the competition - which is not exactly uncommon.

I’d Be So Embarrassed If I Were Atrium Right Now.

Please People, Tell The TRUTH. Its Important That We Maintain At Least A Little Honesty On CC. How Else Are We Going To Able To Assess Competition And Give Good Advice If We Can’t Even Believe Our Posters?
