Chances

Love Binghamton.
I'm an awful test taker.

ACT:27
SAT: CR:520 M:630 (Best-taken twice- I know, embarassing)
GPA: 94.5
Rank: 19/190
Important Extra Curricular: President of National Honor Society, member of Spanish national Honor Society, Varsity Basketball
Outside of School: Frequent volunteer at church and local soup kitchens
Class Rigor: All honors and AP classes thru 12th grade, spanish 5 years (selected to be in class in 8th grade), band for 4 years
Rec and essay: Strong

Will my weak test scores automatically put me outta the pool? Thanks.

Aplly reg app, see if you can improve your SATs, then we'll see

I've already taken them twice and those are the best I can do. I could take them in November but without preparation there is little I can do and there is little time for preparation.

Also, should I apply EA or REG??

I would apply EA, maybe you are deferred by then, but in between I would take not only one more SAT and ACT, but subject tests, and submit the grades if you like the results in ACT and SATIIs, also, do you have a learning disability? If so, you can mention that in the "explain yourself section"
Good Luck to you, I still think you could do very well at Binghamton. Personally, I hate SATs, and I don't think they reflect how successful you can be in college. I know of a classmate of mine who got an embarrasing 1550, but his credentials were terrific, and his Avg now is an A in most classes, so don't give up!

I don't have learning disabilities. And if you are suggesting that just because an individual doesn't do well on standardized testing that he/she has a learning disability, you are an ignorant person.

Excuse me sean? I was asking you that because if you do, it would work to your advantage, since there is a quota. I think you need to read my paragraph and you would see that I wasn't implying anything offensive. Read where I say: "SATs do not reflect how successful you can be in college". I hope you are successful, but in order to do that, you need to take your time to not read too much between the lines, especially when one is completely innocent of any wrongdoing.

Yes, I actually read your entire paragraph a few times and it sounded sarcastic. I appologize if my prior statement was accusatory but that was the general idea I got after reading what you said.
