<p>Harvard is definitely one of my big reaches, and I'm not betting on getting in, but I'd like to know what you guys and girls think of my chances...</p>

Have taken the most challenging courses available to me
Taking Calculus III at a local college (dual enrollment)
SAT: CR: 710, M: 780, W: 800
SAT IIs: M1: 760, M2: 800
AP US History: 4, AP Stats: 5, AP Calc BC: 5
Rank: 4/490
National Merit Semifinalist</p>

<p>ExtraCurricular Stuff:
School Drama Club all 4 years: Stage Crew Mgr (11-12), Lighting Technician (9-12), Chief Lighting Designer (11-12)
French Club: all 4 years, Publicity Mgr (9-10), Pres. (11-12)
School Paper: all 4 years, Staff Columnist (11-12)
Scholastic Scrimmage JV Team (10-12)
Volunteer at local hospital
Work at local supermarket</p>

<p>I also have some essays which I'm pretty proud of, so those should help me a bit.</p>

<p>Your stats qualify you for Harvard - but just about everyone who applies has great stats. Your EC's are decent but possibly not Harvard material. Write a best-selling book or something. Then you'll be in ;)</p>

<p>I am getting a little tired of hearing this "write a book" thing. How many 17 year olds getting into Harvard have published books? </p>

<p>Look at the thread to see what kind of people got in Ajax. You have a decent chance just like many other students of your quality of stats.</p>

<p>Need 3 SAT Subject Tests.</p>

<p>In my opinion you're qualified but will probably be rejected based on location/ethnicity/class rank/nothing special in ECs.</p>
