Teacher Recs: excellent
Counselor Rec: excellent
Interview: Pretty good, think I will get a very good report
Supplementary Material: Will send in abstracts of my research projects and maybe an extra recommendation from my mentor.

Overall, everything was pretty decent except for the SATs obviously. I think my essays gave a good description for who I am and the passion I have for MIT. My science project record at fairs have been phenomenol, I've gotten first place in almost every fair state, regional, and local level, and got Honorable Mention at ISEF and was the grand prize winner of another science fair. These are definitely my strengths. Let me know where i stand, and don't be afraid to be honest. Thanks!

u discovered something to speed stem cell research up??

yeah, an antioxidant called Resveratrol which I derived from processing red wine. It enhances stem cell differentiation, increases survival, and reduces oxidative damage in stem cells. That research took me far. What do you think? Could the other things make up for my low SAT?

one score from one test cannot erase all of your impressive accomplishments

wait a minute...as i recall, someone first discovered resveratrol in 1992. What exactly did you do?

yeah, but resveratrol had never before been tested on stem cells, so I did research using resveratrol on stem cell processes.

all right...that sounds good. i was thinking that you were trying to take credit for discovering resveratrol lol :)

haha, that's what I thought too.

still, pretty darn cool! I'd say you have a decent chance of acceptance...plus your rank + gpa is awesome!

haha, no i didn't discover Resveratrol haha I wouldn't be worried about trying to get into MIT, I'd already be in, haha. Thanks though! Any other comments?

imo, you're in.

I read you got deferred? You're definitely getting in man, that is one hell of a profile.
Good luck anyway, you'll need it. MIT's insanely unpredictable.

How was the International Space Olympics?? I'd love to do that sort of thing..

I think you've got a pretty good chance at getting in. While your SAT I score is below MIT's range, everything else about your application seems very impressive, especially that stem cell stuff.
