Without knowing your nationality and ethnicity, it's impossible to even hazard a guess on chances.

Your 1/500 class rank is a strong academic credential that will get you serious consideration at Swarthmore.

Beyond that, it will really depend how you have focused and presented your EC interests into something that gives your application some personaity. Just from the laundry list, I don't feel like I have a good sense of "who you are".

The music is good, but very common among applicants to these schools. My daughter used math tutoring/teaching (the extreme sport version) and math team as a theme of her Swarthmore application, but it doesn't look like you did math team all the way thru. Your science stuff looks like it could be a good theme, tying in the summer research gig and recycling, maybe.

If i were advising you, I'd want to know more about the restaurant job. In the right situation, that's the kind of non-silver spoon thing that can set you apart.

Other than the fact that they are both liberal arts colleges, I'm having a little trouble understanding your interest in both Middlebury and Swarthmore. Those two schools are very, very different, starting with the fact that one is really, really diverse and the other is really, really white. To be perfectly honest, most people who apply to Swarthmore as just another college on their list don't get accepted.

Thanks!
I'm Caucasian and I'm American.
I wrote my Commonapp essay about Science and I tied in my interests in the other activities.
