I'm also interested in Swarthmore, Williams, Bowdoin, Middlebury, Pomona

haha weird SAT scores…2 highs and a low…superscore is pretty ok…Dartmouth is not easy to get into but your in the running…Swarthmore-50-50 Williams-50-50 and i think you’ll get into Bowdoin,Middlebury and Pomona

you should put NHS in either leadership or awards… it’s not random =]

As I say for so many applicants, the Ivies are a crapshoot, but your chances are about as solid as they can be. I’d say above 50:50 for Dartmouth.

don’t mean to rain on the parade, but no college (at least to my knowledge) superscores the ACT.

I cannot tell you about other schools… but Dartmouth does NOT.

That said, if you take the ACT with the essay and another time without it for some reason… they will allow you to use the essay from the time you took along with the scores on the tests for the time you didn’t.

This is an “emergency” situation of course…

Not to discourage anyone…my son was turned down by UPenn (ED) with stats: GPA: 3.9, ACT:34 w/writing, all honors AP every quarter, volunteer activities etc. We believe that he was “not enthusiastic enough about UPenn” during his interview with the local alum …being the understated type he is. We saw postings on results where ACTs of 29, 30, 32 were admitted so, in the words of one of the members here, Ivies are a crapshoot…

Give it a shot if you have nothing else to lose (besides the $70 or so)!
