Chances....

Okay, so I admit I used to find these chance threads very annoying and it seemed like everyone posting just wanted acknowledgment of their amazingness and were fishing for compliments, but I am so sick of waiting that I'm wondering if someone could chance me for Stanford......okay, here I go:

SAT I: 2200
GPA uw: 3.87
-I don't know rank, but I go to a competitive college prep school in St. Paul, Minnesota and have taken the most rigorous course load available and plan to take another math class this summer (which I noted in my "additional information" section).

Varsity sports:
Soccer - 4 years (all conference 3 years, captain senior year, top GPA on team - academic excellence award)
Basketball - 4 years (captain 2 years, all-conference 3 years, about 1,700 pts. in career - all-time leading scorer @ my school)
Track -4 years, various awards, all-conference 2 years, hold 1600m record (but just for girls haha).

EC:
Math Club (club leader 11, 12)
Science Club (leader 11, 12)
MOSAIC Diversity Club (leader 11,12)
Environmental Club (Leader 11,12)
Amnesty International
Tutors' Guild

Recs:
I was told by another school (that I have been accepted to) that they were "fantastic".....she called me.....

300+ hours of community service (including service trips to Mexico and Tanzania, wrote about Tanzania for CommonApp essay)
-various projects on my reservation; raise money and awareness at my school

Jobs:
US Soccer certified referee - grade 8 (since 10th grade)
job at German Christmas store since beginning of 11th grade

Essays:
I really liked all of them. As I said, main one is about what I learned in Tanzania.
Why NU?: I really liked this one because I have both been on campus and know the school well because I lived in Chicago for awhile. It felt both personal and demonstrative of my interest.....
<--If you want to read any of these, just PM me and give me some feedback.

Other Factors:
American Indian and quite involved with my tribe. I've spoken with someone from NU about this......I think he is on the adcom, but I don't really know if this will affect anything?

Chance me for these schools as well (if you want to):
-Washington University in St. Louis
-Duke
-Stanford
-Vanderbilt

Also, do you think I have any chances at getting invites to any of these schools "multicultural weekends" or a likely letter? I dunno.....any input is appreciated! Wado!

What do you guys think? And, honestly, I am not trying to fish for compliments, I'm just very anxious! Thanks for reading this and good luck to all!!

so far i think you have a great shot for all these schools, even stanford (being native american helps a TON). I would be surprised if you got rejections from any of these schools (other than maybe Stanford).

did u take the sat II's

lol you're in man...i would say even for stanford you have a >50% chance.

omg native american....congratulations on getting in everywhere...you didn't try for any ivies?

Wow, thanks guys, hopefully I'm in like you are guessing and hopefully I'll hear something soon!! We still have to wait nevertheless, i don't want to get my hopes up too much. Anyway, I didn't try for any of the Ivies because I see myself much more on the West Coast (excepting Vandy and Duke, lol). I just like the fact that Stanford is much more laid-back and, I dunno, I just can see myself there much more easily. Also, I thought I should go for one HYPS and Stanford is the place for me, not Harvard, Yale or Princeton. Plus, Stanford's Native community is above and beyond that of many other top unis and I really wanted to continue my ties throughout college.

I've been in touch with Stanford's "liaison" to Native applicants quite a bit and I think she is on the adcom, do you think this will help at all? I know it's hard to know, but if you have any opinions, please let me know!
