…Im getting really anxious because despite my efforts to fight it, I’ve come to really love everything about this school!! So please tell me what you think.

SATs are decent-good.
GPA a little low, but not tragic.
ECs pretty good.

Overall, while your stats aren’t phenomenal, there certainly isn’t anything that is going to rule you out. I think it might come down to your essays/recs? Colleges like this are crap shoots. [Notice: Standard “chances” post disclaimers apply.]

Im a transfer student interested in Barnard College for the fall semester. Given that its highly selective, I’m not quite sure I want to apply there. My credentials might be below what they accept but I just wanted to be chanced to see if I had any hope at all. They are as follows:
High school GPA: 3.7
SAT’S: 690 R 540 M 630 W
LOTS of high school EC’s, not so many during the college years
Current college GPA, with junior status in the fall: 3.4
job experience
well traveled, cultured, strong background in literature

I’m not really sure how the whole transfer student application process goes, but I know that usually colleges are even more selective about their transfer applicants than their first-years. Do you apply to multiple colleges or just one? How badly do you need to transfer? If you’re only applying to Barnard, I wouldn’t count on getting in. Then again, if Barnard is your dream school and it wouldn’t be terrible if you got rejected, go for it.
