Where else could I end up besides FIU if you know?

You should get in for the summer term (lower requirements) at least I think. For the fall your unweighted needs to be higher I think but I’m not sure.
You could definitely go to MDC or FAU.
FIU doesn’t need letters of recommendation (it’s optional)
You can look at this link : http://www.clay.k12.fl.us/khh/Guidance%20Folder/Matrix.pdf
It’s not that hard to get in ,but It’s a good school although it doesn’t have the ranking ( endowment + a lot of other stuff) of UM , UF and so on. To me FIU seems to be desperate for students so I don’t think you should worry. The only school I applied to was FIU and I was accepted and will be attending next year. My weighted gpa is locked at 5.549 (5.088 at time of acceptance) , and my ACT is 28 ( SAT of 1720 total at time of acceptance). But , I’ve seen lots of people have gotten in less than 4.0 weighted and a 3.0 UW and below average SAT scores. Work on your unweighted GPA , if it’s below a 3.0 you may only get in for summer or not accepted at all.

There was a topic like this.

I think you can get in but not sure, two or even a year ago i would have said off course, but now with the budget cuts many good students that did not have the GPA or SAT requirements are going to FIU instead of UF and FSU, sooo, but if you get that SAT score ill say your chance are 70/30. Good luck though.

Wait sorry did not notice that your SAT score was in the 2400 range, to tell you the truth your chances are 60/40, or 50/50, but as i said Good Luck.

Thanks for the help!

What if I were to raise my grades in the final period to:
AP English B
AP History B
Spanish 2 B
Alg 2 Honors B
Chem Honors A
Business A

I do plan on studying hard for the SATs and taking a few prep courses. I see myself getting around the1800s.

How would that affect it?

What would my % of chance being accepted with everything posted in my first post for their summer term?

i would have to say about 80/20 or 90/10, really FIU is not hard to get into.

Also get good grades during the first semester of your senior year, theat counts towards your gpa.

Alright thanks for all the help everyone, really appreciate it!

Do you have a link or anything I can see for their summer requirements? I’m kinda nervous about acceptance.

collegeboard up dated University profiles a few days ago, id suggest go you there.

What should I aim my SATs for? For both terms.

Thanks del_psi! Those 2 links really helped a lot!
Thank you!

depends on your sat by this point, get a high 1100 or a low 1200 and your good.

Did you ever hear back from them? I applied in Jan and still havent heard. Picked a different school instead.
