Hello there. I am a junior in a surrounding suburb of Detroit. This is my first post here, but what do you think my chances are of getting into U of M.

29 ACT (34M 23S 26E 32R)
3.74 HS GPA
2 AP's this Year (Lang & US History)
Class Treasurer (4 years)
Tutor 2 hours per week

Very close call. You’re right in the middle. It will depend on your senior courseload, extracurriculars, and essays. If you can, try to raise your ACT a point or two.

According to the ACT, to be proficient in college you need to have atleast 18-E, 22-M, 21-R, and 24-S. While overall you’re ACT is pretty good, you don’t actually meet that. Take the ACT again.

you have a shot, but here are some things to consider:

you could probably do a little better on the ACT if you review some of the science or english with an ACT prep book. i think there’s one more test offering in june.

UM doesn’t include freshman year in your GPA. they also don’t include any non-core classes.
