chances?

chances?

I am a junior in high school and just visited AU and loved it. I was hoping i could get some feedback as to what my chances would be and things i could do to improve those chances.

GPA- 3.56ish nonwieghted
3.7ish wieghted
***Those are a little out of date but we only get our transcrpits once a year.

SAT
Math 550
CR 730
Writing 600
*I may take this again, not sure yet

ACT- I just took it saturday

I have taken 2 AP classes already and gotten 4’s on both of the tests. They were Human Geography and World History. I am in AP English 11 and AP US History now and will take 4 more plus 2 duel credit classes next year. I am in mostly honors classes and have taken only a few knock-off classes

I am in Quiz Bowl and might be co-captain next year. I am also in Spanish National Honors Society.

I am very involved in my church youth group and do a variety of serivce events through that. Also I was put in charge of at least looking into an international mission trip for our group next summer, which fits me because i want to major in int. relations.

I also work, I worked for a financial company and now i work for an engineering firm, both of which require a fair amount of responsibility.

Thats all i can think of right now, but if i remember anything else I’ll post it.
If you wouldnt mind taking a look and letting me know how i stand and what steps, if any, i should take to make this process a little less nerve racking. Thanks!

I think your chances are pretty good. Your hard stats are in or above the 50% range. Your GPA is even alright - good for American. But you have got to get that math score up! It’s not necessary, but it won’t hurt. Math is the “easiest” to study for because it’s concrete - you might want to give it a try. If you take the SAT again, shoot for a 600 or higher on the math section. American barely considers the writing section.
