I know they don't look at ECs or volunteer work, so I'll omit them:

Applying for a humanities degree
American
Junior, female
Attending a highly competitive public high school that sends a lot of grads to top unis
GPA: 4.0 W/3.23 UW
SATs: 1350/2130
(They list having a B+ in English at the min. requirement for the humanities, I have an A- in an AP english class)

What are my chances? McGill is by far my top school at the moment, but I don't want to create a sense of false hope

Also, do they look at APs or SAT IIs?

SAT IIs are required.
Your SAT seems to be fine; your GPA is lower than it could be - but remember they look at only Grades 10 and 11 and semester/trimester/period (or whatever your school uses) one of Grade 12.

McGill places quite a bit of wait on your senior grades. So, I think if you work hard next year and are able to show them good marks for the first half of your senior year you should have no trouble getting in. Also make sure to take some SAT II because McGill will be expecting them.

I am an admitted student who will be attending McGill next year. If you have any further questions about the application process fell free to ask me.

thanks! do you know if they ask for or accept AP scores? it would be nice to get some credits out of the way.

[Advanced Placement examinations](http://www.mcgill.ca/student-records/transfercredits/ap/)

Scores of 4 and better are accepted for credit.
I don’t think they look at AP scores for admissions decisions though.
