PS. Anyone know how Penn calculates SAT scores? (best from each section or from one test date)

You’re an extremely strong candidate.

Penn says they look at SAT scores as best from each section.

There’s honestly no way to “chance” anyone. Ivy League admissions, especially are dice-shoots. You can be perfect and still not get in…they don’t always want perfect. They want unique. And they also want to sculpt their classes demographically… All you can do is your best!

Penn takes best from each section of Reasoning Test and the two highest Subject Tests. Your test scores and extracurriculars are competitive, but coursework and class rank are subpar. Apply and good luck!

No such thing as subpar. They take all kinds.

ok thnx for clearing up the SAT stuff

i hope the fact that i’m asian doesn’t weigh down my chances

Anyone know how important SAT II scores are? For instance, if I got a 710 on one, would it make much of a difference than if I got a 790? I heard that once you’re above 700, it doesn’t make much a difference.

You probably heard correctly.
