Hey, sorry I know there are a lot of these, but I really would like to know your opinion on my chances at UMich since it is like my dream school.

No real work experience, but hopefully I'll find a job this summer (I need the money :])

Notable Awards:
Various XC/Track awards (all-region, all-league, etc.)

Academic All-State (2 x for XC)
Various department awards @ school (i.e. chem, math, etc.)
NCTE writing competition finalist for my school
At least NMSQT commended, possibly semifinalist

Ideally, I would like to apply to Ross as a pre-admit, do you think I have a shot? I know its competitive and I don't really have any business extracurriculars, but any opinion would be great. Thanks so much for any input!

Reach. GPA and SAT/ACT are a little low. Def apply to a community college just to be safe.

He’s joking if you were unaware.

You’ll get in.

Hah dude you’ll be fine.
Academically, you are probably top 10% of U of M freshmen admitted.

Just curious, what school do you run for?

I run track as well, but I sprint. We had a 400/800 runner last year get a full ride to U of M. He was ranked #2 in the state though for the 400.

You can probably aim for Ivies and other prestigious schools in addition to U of M. It seems that running is your life =P

I must add though, that getting into Ross directly from High School is pretty competitive. I’m not sure if people can go into Ross right away, or if you go through freshmen year regularly but is already admitted to Ross…

I know nothing about the business school…

But I recently had a friend who got into it with a 35 ACT, 3.9 GPA, 2280 SAT. He was pretty weak on extracirriculars though… but you will probably be fine.

Thanks for all the responses!
Heplayer92, yeah I’m no where near as good as your friend, I am pretty decent but would still have to improve significantly to be able to run at U of M. And, yeah, sometimes it seems to be that running is my life ;)
