Also, are there any scholarships that I'm eligible for? How much scholarship money should I expect?

EDIT: What are my chances at the Robert C. Byrd, Robertson, and Morehead scholarship?

The Robertson has a supplemental application that you can submit in which you ask to be considered for the scholarship. The Morehead requires that an OOS student attend a “nominating” school or if lucky your application can be submitted to the Foundation for review by the admissions committee. In the latter case you have to submit your application during the early deadline period, and hope for the best. I don’t know anything about the Byrd.

The Roberston and Morehead have somewhat different criteria. I would recommend going to both websites and reading them thoroughly to get a better understanding of what each is looking for in their candidates.

For the Morehead scholly, would I have to apply for ED or just submit my application during that time but as regular decision?

unc doesn’t have ed, but they do have ea. what eadad meant was that you have to submit your application by the ea deadline (november something i assume) to be considered for the scholarship.

There’s also the possibility of being selected as a Carolina Scholar, which is good for full tuition, fees, room, and board for OOS. This is based on the info on your regular application. If selected, you are invited to a Scholar’s Weekend, where several different scholarships are determined. Conventional wisdom seems to be that if you are invited to Scholar’s Day, or Weekend, or whatever it is called, you are well advised to attend, and are virtually guaranteed some sort of scholarship if you go.

This might be different from what you are looking for, but is probably worth being aware of. Good luck!
