<p>Can I suggest that if you apply, you spellcheck your essays <em>several</em> times, and have others look over it for spelling/homonym errors? There are several in your post. It’s not that I’m picky, but that it undermines your intent. (I found myself thinking, “Your chances with that spelling? Not good!” :-)</p>

<p>Reed=self-selecting applicant pool. Seriously. People don’t apply to Reed because they think it sounds fun…only apply if you absolutely want to go because from what I hear it’s extremely different from regular college and very PhD-oriented. </p>

<p>I think that as long as you’re passionate about Reed and you let them know that, you’ll be fine. Seriously. It’s not super hard to get into, it’s super hard to get THROUGH.</p>

<p>It’s not super easy to get into either. The grades and SAT scores are pretty low for Reed.
Reed does not look at the writing portion of SAT.</p>
