Class rank- I am not sure to be honest. As well, I have a concern here. My freshman year I was at a highly competitive Public high school (top 10 in nation) and enrolled in the pre-IB program and in an AP course. Due to the competitive nature of the school and courseload, my GPA suffered and is now negatively affecting my class rank. (I believe I'm right at or below top 25%. {terrible, I know). Will they be able to see this and realize this, or should I mention it somewhere in my app?*

You have a good shot. I think if you could get a higher SAT score relative to your ACT, that would put you in a good position; however, if class rank matters as much as some people believe it does on this forum, then… I’m not sure how you’ll fair with admissions.

there is an area for you to explain blemished in your resume. if you get >1300/1950 on the sat you’ve got a very good shot.

eagle scouts are a very uncommon breed, and the rank does show a great deal of commitment and leadership skill that uf definitely takes into consideration. i think this is your best asset. you also have a high level of course rigor, which can compensate for poor rank in class. your UW GPA is good, but which W GPA are you calculating exactly? your schools or UF’s?

also, UF loves athletes.

When calculating my weighted GPA, I use the UF system of a full point for AP/IB and half a point for honors.

then thats a strong GPA.

I’d really like to get my SAT to about a 1400 and i think with that, Id be good.

May be minimal, but I’d like to add that I recieved by AP results and got a 4 in both AP Lang and Comp as well as APUSH.

while it makes sense that that would be a consideration, i’ve never heard it to be one through any official channels. doesn’t hurt though.

UF doesn’t consider senior year grades nor do they consider the senior AP’s in your UF GPA.

I’m aware. I did not consider it when calculating my GPA. I do believe they take note if your senior year rigor. I’ve decided to take 5 AP’s which is the most rigorous available to me.

Any more feedback?

not much more to say. you’re very likely to get in.

Let’s hope so.
