thanks!

bumppppppp?

Pretty average for a cornell applicant I’d say. Not bad at all, but nothing spectacular.
Your extracurriculars are, to be frank, all over the place and are not coherent with your intended major (except the one engineering job).

hmm see i would have loved to have more ecs that were engineering related, but like what else is there to do…
was hoping my math league/science olympiad clubs and my course selections would show my passion for engineering…but i guess that doesn’t work?

If you stress it enough it is fine. I ONLY wrote about science competitions and what not and I applied to CAS.

Your scores are pretty decent but again, higher the better.

I have doubts about the importance of relevant ECs - I literally had none that applied to Engineering and I got in - with slightly higher scores, I must note.

sat is good. SAT II is not that bad. GPA is a bit on the low side. You can probably pick some ECs to support engineer, dont think its that important. I know plenty of cornell engineers that didn’t do any engineer related EC. some barely even had any EC lol.

Don’t really think it will help since its 12th grade but maybe you can take differential equations after multi if your school offers.

30-40% chance I’d say

Like most applicants, you’re the definition of a Bright, Well-Rounded Student. You would fit into almost any college on paper, but you’ll need to write great essays and have great teacher recs in order to stand out from like 80% of applicants who all look very similar on paper.

Of course, you’re a girl applying to Engineering, which may be the biggest plus for you. Even so, engineering applications look much more at the raw numbers like SAT scores (especially in science and math), AP scores, and GPA. They also want to see that you’ve won awards in math, science, and engineering competitions, although that’s not necessary, just another plus.

Good Luck though, and I wouldn’t stress that much. College is just one step in your journey through life. :)
