I appreciate any help you can offer!!!!

sorry, forgot to mention that I live in Maryland

Obviously just my opinion, but I’ve got similar stats and here’s what I think (or maybe it’s what I hope)

First, I think that when you retake the SAT, you’ll get something along these lines (at least)…

CR:650 -> 730
W:660 -> 750 (I saw my biggest increase on the writing section)
M:740 -> 760

Given that, I think…

upenn - Reach. But all the Ivies are. Your ECs may push you through.
northwestern - Minor reach.
university of maryland (in-state) - Match
Wellesly - Unsure.
emory - Match
carnegie mellon - Strong match
colgate - Match
UC berkeley - Reach
duke - Match/minor reach

No matter how you cut it, you’ll be accepted at some great colleges. And U. of MD is a very good school.

Could you take a look at mine? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/757286-chance-me-please-not-sure-where-i-fit.html</a></p>

thank you very much! i figured my sats are my main problem at this point. I’m trying my best to raise my scores though!

Yeah…raise those SATs.

Retake Math II.

Chance me?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/757823-well-known-school-can-i-get.html</a></p>

since you will retake those SATs, and I know you are trying hard, you’ll be fine.
your schedule is pretty impressive
your activities and leadership are very good and diverse, it may be too late to pick up an art, instrument, or sport, but that might help

I do play a instrument :)

play *an instrument

I guess that shows how smart I am…

You have a very comptetive GPA and tough courseload. Though working for the national cancer institute is about the best EC you can get, I dont see much more in the way of ECs. As Im sure you know, your GPA is not as competitve as it should be, but hopefully you can get a 100 point increase. that would very much help you.
UMD is a match. CMU is a high match. NW is a low reach, as is Emory. DUke, UCB (OOS), UPEnn, Wellsesly are all reaches, but get your tests up, and you could have a good shot. good luck! chance back?
