my personal opinion as my parents say, avoid the midwest if you can, u don't want to get stuck there most likely if you are coming from the east or west coast. Therefore, if you are looking for east coast grad schools or jobs there, stay on the east coast.

i'm 97% sure that that last post is the most retarded thing I've ever read. please disregard it. the midwest kicks ass, and Chicago is basically going to offer all of the same things as any coastal city. Also, grad schools care about your gpa and lsats/mcats/etc. a whole lot more than they care about the location of your school. Anyway, Northwestern is just as good or better than any of your other reaches/matches at getting kids into top grad schools.

I had very similar stats (ACT 35, 760/740/710), and I applied to a lot of the same schools: Northwestern, W&M, Georgetown, and Duke. Here is my advice: do your research and apply early somewhere. Or, at the very least, don't send your app in on the last possible day. That's what I did, and I got rejected by Duke and waitlisted by Georgetown. I got into Northwestern (where I applied on a reasonable date) and William and Mary, which was just a last minute thing. I think you should study and retake the SAT II's, because I think thats what was dragging me down, even though the only place I submitted them was Georgetown. I was also waitlisted at Brown, which is probably pretty similar to Dartmouth. However, I have to say that my essays were probably nothing special, and I was only number 8 in my class and easily would have been number one had I put any effort into classes I didn't care about. Things worked out pefectly for me in the end, but it took some luck. So, basically, what I'm trying to tell you is this: don't be like me. don't **** up.
