<p>I'm new here, so forgive any faux pas.</p>
<p>Asian American female, currently a junior.</p>
<p>GPA: 3.5 [bad soph]
ACT Composite: 34
E.C/Volunteering: avg.</p>
<p>Note about the GPA - my school uses a 4.0/5.0 weighted system and does not have class rank. My grades themselves aren't that good - Bs and Cs [and one F in an elective] but my teachers like me and most of my classes are honors.</p>
<p>[Also, a question for the ACT - I took the test without writing last year. If I take it with writing this year, do you guys know if I can combine the scores if I get a worse composite for the more recent one?]</p>
