I'm applying ED to dartmouth, but on the BIG chance i don't get in, this is my second choice... I LOVE IT!!!

...anyone?

yeah you are looking very good... make sure you back your application up with solid essays and you should be alright... best of luck!

thanks! yeah, i'm counting on my essays to help alot in the colleges i apply to... i consider writing my strong point... does anyone know how heavily tufts considers their interviews? i know of some schools that admit an interview can be the deciding factor... some that even discourage some interviews... what emphasis does tufts place on the interview? does it matter if it's on-campus or off?

Applying Early Decision I or II will help you tremendously as the acceptance rate for ED is much higher than for RD.

what's ED II?

I'm pretty sure Tufts arranges an interview for you. My interview went fine, I wouldn't say it was amazing but it wasn't bad. We had it at Panera and I swear I think the guy just wanted the bagels afterwards. lol

ED = early decision

I don't think interviews at Tufts are that important. Mine was pretty dull compared to my other interviews. My interviewer asked me to describe each class that I had and what I liked/didn't like about it. He basically just kept nodding or saying "uh huh" after everything I said.

Actually, I found that my interview was very helpful. The person who interviewed me was receptive, but also a good source of information about the school. Rather than a straight question and answer session, we had more of a dialogue. Although I was an ED candidate and well-qualified, I do think the interview added to the "whole package". I wouldn't overestimate it but I wouldn't underestimate it either.

good essay would definitely help. since you do lots of sports, that is a huge plus. i don't think an interview is that important since i never had one (even though i wanted one). an interview will certainly help but i don't think it will hurt either if don't have one. best of luck!

hey..im going to tufts this fall. Age, ur chances sound really good. they really look at the type of person u are and they look at how interested u really are in the school. they def hate people using them as a safety, so show interest. ur essays and interview are super important and applying ED helps a ton... email me at JIFeldman31@aol.com if u have any questions. im a fricken good college counselor. lol

interviews def are a huge huge advantage if they go well. my interviewer helped a lot in me getting in.

thanks guys! any more advice?...
