Looking to apply to:
University of Michigan
University of Virginia (My reach school)
University of Maryland - College Park
University of Delaware
Penn State - University Park
Bucknell
Rensellear Polytechnic
Virginia Tech

I also live in Maryland so most of these school are out of state

White Male
Jewish - not sure if that counts for anything

I got to a school that is only 4 years old but already one of the best schools in Howard County, Maryland, one of the top public schooling counties in America.

My unweighted GPA is 3.58 while my weighted is 4.33 (more on that later)
Class rank is 58/308 (18.1%)

SATS:

Recs: My guidance counselor was also a coach who liked me because I didn't cause any trouble and worked hard
Also my calculus teacher who liked me and will probably write a fairly generic rec

Essay: Have been working on with my English teacher over the last 2 months

Conclusion: I guess the real question here is does a mediocore class rank and GPA overshadow taking 11 AP classes and a few other honors classes (only 2 non weighted classes, one being gym)

Thanks for anyone who responds to this
Could you also possibly suggest any other colleges I should look at

You’re pretty similar to me in terms of class rank and places to apply, but you crush me in everything else :/. You’re into everywhere except Michigan and Virginia, but you have a very good shot at those.

I agree with Randum Persun. Some others to possibly check into are University of Rochester, Lehigh and Wisconsin. Best of luck!
