I would say you’re in! I had good recs, good GPA, good ec’s, and lower test scores (ACT: 27, SAT: 1720)

Not a doubt you are in. Might get invited to Honors Program and good merit scholarship offer, based on what we are seeing.

thank you both! i heard back a few days ago and got my acceptance, and tonight i finally got the mailed acceptance letter. i recieved a 22k scholarship per year, i was wondering how i may now if i got into the honors program? i know that is one of the highest scholarships awarded, so im hoping i could get into the honors program

It is the 2nd highest scholarship, the highest is the Presidential ($25K), so I guess the automatic invites to the Honors Program may be limited to those students that receive the Presidential. You should be very pleased with yourself for what you accomplished; it is an excellent award and they say the competition for those merit scholarships is higher than ever.

Here is a possible plan: If your CR SAT improves significantly on the retake (>=700) and your first semester grades in your AP courses are all A’s or 1 B+, then I would make sure Tulane gets those and ask them to review you for the higher merit scholarship and for the Honors Program. They will certainly at least look at it again. If you get it great, case closed. If not, you can still talk to Prof. Luongo (head of the Honors Program) and see if you can get in from the start. Failing that, you can earn your way in after freshman year.

Best of Luck!

okay thank you so much for all of your help!
