Chances?

Hey guys, I was considering applying here. What do you think my chances are?

I am a hispanic male from New York.

GPA: 3.4 unweighted. My highschool is one of the most vigorous in the nation, in the top 100 for most prestigious public and private high schools (I go to a public school). My school doesn't rank students.

SAT: 2050 - 650 R - 800 M - 600 W

ACT: 31 Composite

I have taken 4 APs during my high school career:
AP Comp Sci AB
AP European History
AP American History
AP Biology

Extra Curriculars:
-National Hispanic Scholar Award (Honorable Mention)
-Assistant teacher in my school's intro to computer science class
-Varsity Football
-Various overseas voulenteer works. ~100 hours

I think you’re in pretty easily. Although your gpa is below average for UW students, that shouldn’t be a problem since you attend a well known high school where I’d imagine grade inflation isn’t nearly what it is at a lot of public schools (which consequently inflates the UW stat). SAT is more than good enough since UW only looks at CR/M, so as far as they’re concerned, you’ve got a tidy 1450 / 1600 there. Diverse extracurriculars as well, I think you’re in.

Even though OOS is a bit harder to get accepted, you should not have any problem getting in so long as you write a solid essay.

I’m interested in UW too, want to chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-washington/814185-nervous-applicant-any-insight.html

does anyone know how selective the computer science program is?
