I applied ED1 and as an English Major.
I visited campus several times, did a One-Day Tour, and had an “interview”/conversation with an admissions officer because I am a legacy.

I’ve been in the select choirs of my school for all 4 years, and I have been a student conductor for three of them. I also have been in my school’s Tri-M Society.

ExtraCur: I’ve played classical piano for 11 years and have been an equestrian for 9. Consequently, I teach piano lessons in the summer as well as teaching riding at my barn’s summer camp.

I have three good recs. from teachers, and I think my essays were strong.
So . . . . yeah. Hahaha. Nothing left but to sit and wait, but let me know what y’all think.

(I’m in-state, and go to a very strong highschool)

I’d say your chances are pretty good.
I’m legacy too, had the same admissions conversation thing.

LETTERS GO OUT IN 5 DAYS.
I hope you and I get in.
Being in-state isn’t going to help, but your GPA and test scores are pretty stellar.

Hahaha, yeah I do too!
So close. . . . so far. . . .
But thanks - you made me feel loads better.
Let me know how things go for you
:)

You’ll know before I do, my letter has to come all the way to chicago!

AlixMRoz, how do you know letters go out in 5 days? and do you know if we can check if we got in or not online?

Doing some research I found that letters go out December 10th.

You can check online December 20th.

lizzle–I think you have a VERY GOOD chance. My D’s SAT scores were kind of reversed. Higher in math, lower in CR, but overall a bit lower in total. My D was in top 10% of HS class. She is also a legacy. She applied ED and was accepted.

She is now a sophomore and loves the school.

Hahaha thanks so much!!!

I’m so excited for letters. . . .
I just wanna know.
