Chances?

So, I've been so set on Cal Poly SLO, that it only just now occured to me (after not making ED there...-_-) that I've neglected the other schools to which I've applied.

So, here's what I've got for UCSB...

Male, White/Filipino
Oxnard, CA (30 minutes or less down the coast)

-Major - Art (want to do graphic design)
-GPA - 3.5 UC/CSU
-SAT - 1900; 560 M, 660 CR, 680 W (1220 CR+M)
-Literature SAT II - 640
-Math 2 SAT II - 490...>.<
-Took and passed English 3AP (4 on exam), Stats AP (2 on exam, bleh. Passed the class)

-AVID Student
-Marching Band 4 years, percussion (co)captain 3 years
-Won AVID Write-Off at county level last two years, 1st place in region 2008, 3rd in 2009
-Essays...well, I'm not one to brag much, but I know they're well-written and show who I am without looking like a thesis paper.

Not gonna lie, I am totally doing this in hopes of having something to feel good about. Not feeling too great after being deferred to RD for SLO.

Also, I applied to Santa Cruz and Riverside, so if you know about them, chance me for them, as well? Thanks, all.

Umm your SAT IIs are average at best and your GPA (I am assuming weighted) isnt really that impressive. Your SAT I’s are right on par for UCSB and your ECs are good. I would just bring up your SAT IIs and you should be fine. Art should not be that impacted so you should be fine on getting into that.

I’d say you’d have a “Weak Consider” ie. 25% or less. I got accepted to SB (where I go now) but rejected from Davis with a 3.8 UC and 2090 SAT… so I consider myself to have been right on the cusp. UCSB does like underrepresented minorities though so that might help you
