How are my chances for EA and Regular Decision?????

TOEFL was 290/300

You've been playing violin since you were...2 years old? wth?

Actually i started when i was 3 years old. the suzuki method suggests that kids between 3~4 years of age should get used to the idea of music by starting with the violin.

seeing as you're basically what all the colleges look for, you're, like, in everywhere except yale and harvard (possibly stanford too) which are reaches.

vivo, even though your SATI verbal is on the low side for the super selectives your profile is very strong, especially for the smaller liberal arts colleges that use international experience as a way to up their diversity percentages. Harvard, Yale and Stanford are reaches for everyone. The other schools are good matches. You could use one or two "sure bets" or foolproof safeties.

Two questions that would help gauge your chances: What is your nationality? Ethnicity? Will you require need based or merit aid?

You might also take a look at Williams -- a good destination for someone with both music and sports ECs, with very strong science programs. Also, Macalester which is extremely international-friendly.

lol, 10 instruments?!?! How much have you accomplished on each of the instruments? I play only 2, and I have to practice like hell to keep them both refined. I'm not saying it's impossible, but 10 instruments seems kinda overboard with all of that travelling and studying you're doing.

arg i hate you, you got 7th place in that math contest, i got 21st  and i bet i was 1 point off too

pleaseee
more advice...
up
convo.
thx!

umm dont put all of those instruments unless you're REALLY good and are sending in recordings. i don't think it's possible for playing all of those instruments to be important to you. just put 2 or 3 that you spend a lot of time on and are really good at, like violin, piano and guitar maybe.

i've made several CDs with all of the above instruments and they've been always successful in AP classes or regional competitions and my rock band and jazz band have made several pro-recordings in studios. In Brazil the studios are soo cheap to use and rent, so it's not a big deal.but yes, all of the above instruments i am confident enough to send in quality recordings

the eyes of the harvard ad coms will get tired trying to read all those activities. make sure to narrow em down a bit when time comes to actually apply.

Your list is very reach heavy. As an international you face stiff sompetition. Especially if you need financial aid, add several schools where your stats fall in the top 15%.
