Chances?

<p>I'm really hoping to get in to U of R, but won't know until April. Can anyone give me an idea what my chances are?</p>

<p>GPA: 4.915</p>

<p>Courseload:
Freshman: 4 honors classes
Sophomore: 5 honors classes
Junior: AP Chemistry, AP Calc AB, AP US History, AP Psychology, AP English Language, 1 honors
Senior: AP Economics, AP Modern European History, AP English Literature, AP French Language, 1 honors, 1 community college credit</p>

<p>AP Scores:
5-AP English Lang
5-AP Psychology
5-AP Calc AB
4-US History
4-AP Chemistry</p>

<p>Extracirriculars include: Literary Magazine (Editor-in-Chief), Newspaper (Editorial/Op-ed editor), Color Guard (Captain), 4 years participated in selective writing program through a local college, National Honor Society, French Honor Society (secretary)</p>

<p>I've had an interview with an alum, off-campus, and unfortunately will not be able to visit campus unless I get accepted. It's something of a hike. </p>

<p>And (sorry to be asking so many questions!) can anyone explain the policy on merit-based scholarships to me?</p>

<p>Does Rochester send admission decisions all at once in April? I know some colleges send decisions as soon as they find good candidates, but wait on the weaker candidates until the end to accept or reject. Bienvenue you have a great profile and your chances look pretty good.</p>

<p>I really see no reason why you WOULDN’T get in…unless you were applying to Eastman or something. But I’d put my money on your stats any day.</p>

<p>Rochester does not send decisions at once. For me, I received my admission package around the second week of April, and I recall other people on these boards who got theirs before and after my date. They mail it out instead of letting people find out online.</p>
