Ok, I have been offered a perfered walk on for football at a Big Ten University. I have a 22 ACT and a 3.80 GPA. I have applied to the college, and haven't heard back with a decision yet. Many of my fellow classmates have been accepted from this particular school however. I'm getting nervous. What does everyone think?

I mean unless it was northwestern, I wouldnt really worry.

On a side note, What position do you play?

Primarily a longsnapper, but offensive line as well.

My daughter was a recruited walk-on in gymnastics at a Big Ten school and was told by the director of admissions during her official visit that athletes were admitted to this particular school as long as they met the minimum requirements per NCAA…which is a heck of a lot lower than your stats.

I agree. Other than northwestern pretty much, I wouldnt worry.

I’ll just toss this out there… we found a lot of football coaches dodgey and they seemed pretty happy to tell you one thing and then… So, if it’s rolling admissions, Id just double check to make sure that everything is in according to whatever tracking system they have going in admissions.

Alright thanks everyone. Feeling a lot better now
