Your stats look very good for GW. Make sure to show interest so they know that you are serious about the school.

Could you give me some insight into how to show interest after having submitted the application? Perhaps writing a letter or an e-mail? I fear that my application was somewhat devoid of enthusiasm for GW.

Mostly I meant was just visiting GW, attending info session at your school or college fair, interviewing if possible. From past years there were folks that had great stats that got denied in the RD round, and there was a feeling that they were thought to use GW as a safety rather than a real option.

I have a somewhat limited understanding of the importance of visiting a school and the impact that one’s visit or interview could have on the admissions process. Will doing so really make a difference in my acceptance or rejection, this late in the game?

I am not sure, and I wouldn’t worry about it at this point! Your stats are good for the school and you most likely have a good chance to get in, with or without a visit. If you are worried, you can always give a call or email your local rep and let them know that you didn’t have a chance to visit but GW is one of your top choices!

Cool. I just e-mailed my local rep. Thanks for your help lightmom! Please check out my other threads.

Good luck with all the schools you’ve applied to! Your Uncle’s alma mater is a great school as both my kids presently attend and they never seem to want to leave. Enjoy wherever you go as your 4 years will go by too quickly.

Thank you very much, WaitingDad.
