Member of National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta (National Math Honorary)

EC's
Marching Band, Musical (multiple times), fairly extensive community service, some leadership experience...

I plan on doing all of the optional application requirements (personal statement, teacher recomendation, etc.)

And possibly the most important piece of info. is that I am out of state. I can afford to go to Tennessee, however.

SAT (CR+M)-1260

taking the ACT late this month, then applying to Tennessee in the fall.

I think you might be able to do a little better then UTK. NO OFFENSE

Well, I want to study math, and UTK’s math honors prog. is VERY good…

Oh, I did not know that.

UT’s ranking has been going up and UT’s admission is getting harder by the year. The average ACT score of entering engineering students is about 29. There are some opportunities for you to be considered in-state if your parents don’t count you as dependent on their tax return and after you have stayed in Tennessee for some time.

Nevertheless, UT has been quite aggressive in recruiting good students. If you contact the department you’re looking to enter, tell them your situation, you might get some sort of financial aid from UT. Give it a try.
