ED is definitely your best chance since the acceptance rate ED is around 30% (so i hear). From there, it drops significantly and RD is hovering well under 10% now. Your extra curriculars look great, and your SAT is decent. I would assume you need about a 4-5 point jump on your ACT. Most people I talk to here have about the same GPA, but are around 32-33 on their ACT. What school are you applying to, and are you planning on playing tennis in college? Those two factors may shift WashU's decision...

i think im applying to their engineering school...are they single door admission or apply to different colleges?

i'm not sure. i'm in the engineering school, and i have no plans to switch. however, many of my engineering buddies will not finish 4 years in the engineering school, and probably one third will transfer to the arts and sciences college. so you have to "apply" to one school - engineering, but you are free to switch to the arts and sciences school, but not business, architecture, or art (from what i understand). i had a 1510 SAT (800 math 710 verbal) and 34 ACT (36 math) 4.0 unweighted GPA, and i got in RD. so i dont know about your chances. i did get into princeton and rice though

you apply to any of the five undergraduate programs: arts and sciences, engineering, art, architecture, and business. you can apply to up to three of the schools. Each school has a separate admissions process so your application will first go to your first choice.
