I'm in-state from a Fairfax County Public School. I essentially copied this from a recent poster's format.

SAT I: 2030
720 M 700 W 670 CR
This was done with very little preparation, and will be retaken in October. I'm aiming for a 2100+ which I believe is feasible.

SAT II:
USH - 620
World - 640
I understand that this is my weakest part of my resume and will be taking the Math II and Literature tests in November (assuming that this isn't too late).

GPA: 4.30 (Freshman 4.214, Sophomore 4.214, Junior 4.783)

AP Classes (11)
Sophomore: AP World - 4

Junior: AP Calculus AB (4,5), AP Environmental Science (4,5), AP English Language and Composition (5), AP US History (4), AP Music Theory (2,3).

Senior: AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, AP Literature, AP

EC's:
-President of Social Studies Honors Society.
-Member of NHS, Math Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society.
-Volunteer at Make-A-Splash, which is a community service organization to help people with mental disabilities.
-I swim 80+ hours per month, which is obviously a huge time commitment. I am going to try to be a walk-on athlete to UVA, but please judge me as if this is only an EC as I will not be a recruited athlete. I have won many awards for being both an athlete and scholar-athlete.

In-State
Attended Virginia Boys State

You will be admitted to U-Va.

i’m gonna saw you’ll be admitted. i was wait-listed and your stats are much more impressive.

Fairly standard for UVa in-staters. Raise that SAT score a bit and you’re most likely IN.

You look great but should prep through Honorsprep (held at George Mason High School). It’s a prep for students with a 3.8 or above and the guy that owns the company is a Harvard grad — excellent at prepping! My son took his 5 week course in Jan. and took the test in March. 2300 — 800CR 790 W 710 M. It’s expensive but so worth it when you get your acceptance into UVA, right? Just tell your folks they will save money if you get into UVA, lol. Your other stats look great. Probably take another subject test and study hard for it – at least those you can really study for. Anway, google honorsprep.com and you will find the course listing. He always has courses going on. You may even be able to get it all done by the end of August! Good luck!

You may not need to worry about raising that SAT score…I was admitted this past spring OOS with a 2020 superscore on the SAT, as well as as some mediocre subject test scores. SAT isn’t everything if your just a generally well rounded student (especially since your instate).

Porter - do you mind sharing what your subject test scores were? That’s the weakest part of my application, so I’m considering just not submitting them, but I know UVA strongly recommends them … not sure what to do

I would definitely submit the subject tests if they’re 600 or more. From everything I’ve seen and everyone i’ve talked to, they’re practically required, esp OOS. If you got below 600, then it might not be worth it to send them. But getting 600-670, you’re showing that you put in the effort to at least take the tests and do ok.
