Hey. First off, you dont need to have an A+ gpa to get in to Harvard. People get into Harvard all the time with A- gpas. What really matters is your volunteering and EC’s. Your SAT is great, which will be sure to wow the administrative offices. Just remember that Harvard is the toughest school in America to get into. It’s ranked (along with Princeton) at number 1. It has an acceptance rate of 7.9 percent. If you don’t get in, that’s totally ok. There are so many great schools out there. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I know that Harvard is pretty impossible, and people way more qualified than me don’t get in. And I’m definitely not a crazy person who’s set on it as my only school! I’m totally stressing out over colleges right now, so that’s good to hear!

I completely understand how you feel trackgirl. Harvard is such a crazy dream for everyone who applies and rightfully so. This year the acceptance rate was a record 6.9%. Don’t let that scare you though. On the basis of stats alone, you are right on par. You don’t need an A+ GPA. I didn’t have one. For best chances, you need a 3.9 minimum. Best wishes with admissions. It’s a crazy ride but so worth it if you work hard. Check out Yale and Princeton too! Both are amazing schools also.
