This has to be one of the strangest list of schools I’ve ever seen.
You’ve got Columbia, Princeton and Penn and then there’s a huge gap between them and the next tier of schools to which you are applying.

You do realize that there are lots of schools between C,P,P and Maryland, Rutgers, etc., right?

Anyway, to answer your chance question, Columbia, Princeton and Penn are out of reach for you. I think all the others are safetys.

Haha yeah I get that response a lot. Columbia, Princeton, and Penn are more like “I’m gonna apply for fun, I know I’m not gonna get in, but what the heck.” For the other schools, I thought of Udel and Maryland as more target schools. I know there are a lot of schools in between but: a) I don’t want to go that far away (I’m from NJ) and b) Money is a huge issue, so I don’t want to set my sights on a good private school and not be able to pay the tuition. But thanks for your input!! :)

You’re looking at honors plus a significant scholarship at Temple. If you have any questions about TU, feel free to PM me.

Thanks! I’m actually going to see Temple at the end of August so if I have any questions I’ll let you know :)

I applaud your ballsiness for applying to CPP. I think you’re a match for all of those schools except for CPP.

Haha thank you!! Princeton and Columbia are both gorgeous, amazing schools (I’ve never been to Penn but I assume the campus is great), and if pigs fly and I get in - great! That’s not going to happen, but I’ll still apply for the sake of it.

really, your stats are quite decent so you should look for more schools that fill that huge gap between your top tier and lower tier schools

Thanks, I know I could get into some better, private schools, but my stats aren’t good enough to get considerable merit scholarships from them. My goal is to get through college without debt at the end. My mom sent my brother to Rutgers debt-free, although it was really hard, and I can’t ask her to send me to a private school where the tuition alone is more than tuition/r&b/fees/etc at a state or public school.
