Chances

So I really want to get in for poly sci and here are my stats

GPAS Unweighted:
Freshmen Year: 2.4
Sophmore Year: 3.0
Junior Year: 4.0+ (2APs)
Senior Year: (6 APs)

Final GPA: 3.3 (87.43)

SATs: CR: 630 M:610 (1240/1600)
SAT IIs: U.S. History 750
AP Scores: U.S. History: 5; English Language and Comp.: 4
URM: African American
Region: Out of State

ECs
Senator of Grade Council (10-12)
President and Member of FBLA (9-12)
It's Academic (11-12)
Physics Club (11-12)
Varsity Soccer (10-12)
GSA (11-12)
Olympic Development Soccer (11)
Club Soccer (9-12)
Internship at a Law Firm (11-12)

Your SATs and GPA are slightly low for Bing. But because you’re a URM and OOS, you’ll probably have a better chance.

Your SATs are fine, but your gpa is going to be your downpoint. Your extra curriculars look very good though! However, many of my friends who got into bing had high gpa and sat but minimal EC. Bing doesn’t look at SATII, and I really doubt essays contribute THAT much into their decision. Nevertheless, you should definitely apply anyway!

In my year, a lot of people were screwed over. They had 93 avgs and 1900/2400 sat scores and were waitlisted and then rejected from bing. But then again, it was the year the economy crapped on our faces. Its doing a lot better now, so i think your chances are better. Goodluck!
