Chances?

I really like UF from all the reading i've done about it but dont know about my chances to get in.

Unweighted GPA of a 90

AP English-two years
AP Public Policy, Calculus
College Econ and Spanish
All other classes at an honors level

SAT score (as of now, but plan on retaking)
CR: 680
Math:570-will hopefully be able to bring this way up
Writing:630

ACT's- havent taken yet, but on practice ones am receiving a 29

EC's- Yearbook editor for 3 years
Key Club-4 years
International Club-2 years
Tae Kwon Do athlete for 13 years-dont know if i include a sport thats not a school sport?

out of state female, planning on applying early action

thanks for your help!

I think UF got rid of early action. Check it out just in case I’m wrong. It’s usually not good when your math score is the lowest; that’s just the world we live in.

According to CC: Univ Florida avg GPA- 3.69 avg SAT- 1865
Try to bring up the math score, but it’s def a match

You should definitely list the TaeKwonDo if you have done it during high school (which you apparently have). Also, try to figure out your UF weighted GPA (on a 5.0 scale).

Sorry mathsciencedude, do you know how one could calculate the UF weighted GPA?

Thanks

Add one point for ap and .5 for honors. Plus, you should disregard non-academic classes like philosophy, art, history, and music.

…

jk about those classes being non-academic.

Hmm so am I supposed to add that to unweighted GPA? All my classes have been IB, AP or honors so would my weighted GPA be that high?

Thanks, sorry Im bad at this :(

I think it gets worked out like this: take a class, say algebra 1, and convert the grade to GPA points 0-4.0; then, if you got a C or higher add 1.0 point for IB or AP and 0.5 for just Honors; multiply by number of credits; and do this for all your academic classes and divide by the total number of credits.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong.
