chances??

i've only briefly looked at McGill, but so many people have told me good things about it and it'd be a reach for me, so I want to know if it's worth the hike to go visit (7 hour drive!)

CR: 680 Math: 600 Writing: 650

GPA unweighted: 3.54, but taking 2 AP and 3 Honors classes first semester senior year

Very involved in academic clubs, lots of community service, etc...

Average SAT is 2060, average GPA is 3.7 for enroled students.

Drive up for a weekend, tour the campus and have a good time sightseeing in Montr

you will most likely get in, you might encounter just a little bit of difficulty in the really selective ones. But the others are fine. Fax them a copy of your involvement. They don’t ask for it, but it doesn’t hurt.

It is a nice campus, but it will take you only 40 minutes to pretty much see everything. I’ll warn you too, they take very good pictures of the campus and post it online. The real thing is no where near their photography skills. Most of McGill is under construction too at this time.

Montreal is a fabulous city though. And this would be the best time to visit.

what are the really selective ones?

life science, interfaculty, management. But they require only slightly higher stats. You definitely have a shot!
