Chances?

I'm a female of mixed background (jamaican/white). While my scores are below the averages for Williams, I feel like I might have a chance b/c I was one of 8 from all of Long Island to get into this prestigious science research program (google Partners for the Future) at a world renown facility (Cold Spring Harbor Labs on Long Island). I think that would help me a lot since thats a rather significant activity. Anyway, here's my info:

So do I have a chance or should I cut my losses? Thanks so much!!!

Go for it! In addition to your stats, your impressive ECs will make you stand out.

great, thanks so much!

I think you have a good shot anywhere. You might want to look at Swat if science is your bag.

As long as you check the “African American” box on the Common Application, you are almost a shoe-in. Williams has a lot of trouble attracting enough highly qualified African American students. Applying early always helps.
