Hello Ingersoll! I don’t like the whole concept of “chancing”. As I’ve mentioned before, you will find people on here who were not accepted to what they thought were low reaches or even safeties. You will also find people who were accepted into high reaches. So, who knows what lurks in the hearts and minds of the folks in Admissions!

That said…my daughter applied ED last year and was accepted. Her GPA was similar to yours and she was in the top 2% of her class. Based solely on your numbers I would say you look like you have an excellent shot at an ED admit. Your essay is critical. It is your opportunity to really sell yourself as someone that UR wants on campus. Here is a letter from someone in the admissions office that may give you a little insight into what they are looking for: [Response to “Richmond SAT scores fall” | University of Richmond Collegian ? University of Richmond News](http://thecollegianur.com/2010/09/07/response-to-richmond-sat-scores-fall/13035/)

Good luck to you! If you have any questions about UR, feel free to PM me. If I don’t have the answer, I probably know where to find it. I am not in Admissions but have been very involved in the process and the school for a couple of years now.
