Chances?

I am a senior this year in the IB program. What would you say are my chances of getting in? I would like to apply to the engineering department. (Specifically civil engineering)
GPA: UW 3.95/W 4.66
IB program and 3 AP tests (all non IB courses were honors freshman/sophomore year)
SAT 2110 M:780 CR:680 W:650
SATII: Math2: 740 Chem: 690
Do Something Club, Spanish National Honors Society, Service Learning
50+ hours of community service.
I plan on taking the ACT in October and my goal is to get a 33 or hopefully 34.
Hopefully I will have a solid essay and letters of rec
I know my ECs aren't great, but do I still have a decent shot at getting accepted?

Any thoughts?

stats-wise you’re alright. keep up the good work and good luck

I would say you have a “decent” shot of getting in. Your GPA is above the mean for USC and having that GPA from an IB program is very impressive. However the engineering school gets the applicants with the highest stats most with 3.8-4.0. Although your SAT is in the range for USC, it is a little low for an engineering applicant (although it helps that you got a 780 in math). It will also help that you are applying to civil engineering (probably the easiest engineering major, but still harder than many other non-engineering majors). You’re still going to need to do something that will set yourself apart, but I would say that USC is a good match.
