I'am from New York I applied ED to Wake and I'm worried about getting in. I posted my credentials below.

Well, if your recommendations and essays are stellar that will really help, particularly when combined with your ED application.

Honestly, there is not much to do now, but wait. My only suggestion would be to write a letter to the admissions committee reiterating your interest in attending Wake Forest in the Fall.

But just relax and focus your mind elsewhere and accept that your application is done. You are way ahead of where many folks are too!

Best of luck.

By the way I didnt list all of my EC’s but I worked over this summer doing trail work in the white mountains of New Hampshire, I was an all county tennis player, I have been sailing for 8 years and have won trophies, president of my summer camp, and more. I also made sure to finely polish my application and make sure its the best it can be. In addition, I neglected to meantion that my school only offers 11 AP’s of which I have taken 9. They only offer honors classes to freshman, for any uper classmen its AP or nothing. Do you think any of that would add to my chances.

AP classes will help. Honestly, it is good to be involved, but in the grand scheme (particularly at a top school like Wake), even leadership positions and athletic accolades are not going to be real difference makers. A lack of them might keep you out, but they will not get you in (unless they are truly spectacular like getting published, recruited athlete, start your own NPO, etc).

Right now just work on your application, because again you will be a strong applicant, and you would not want flaws in your application to overshadow that.

You’re fine. I’ also from new york, and I just got my acceptance letter today and you have me beat on the number of APs and extracurriculars.

hey thanks,
How long did it take for you to get your letter? I applied october 28th. And what were your SAT scores?
Thankyou
